Admission Rules
Admission Rules for SQM , SIT and MSc Computer Science.
Those seeking admission to the BBA/BCS (Hons) program offered at the college must.

1. Have  passed  the  intermediate FSc/HSSC  examination  with  a minimum  45%  marks  from  any  board  of  intermediate  and secondary education in Pakistan or equivalent qualification from any institution inside or outside in Pakistan recognized by university of Peshawar.
2. have a certificate from the principal of the college from where the examination was  taken , if results are awaited that he, she will be able to qualify with 45% marks.
3. acquire  a  migration  certificate  not  latter  than  the  date  of commencement  of  the  first  semester  examination,  to  facilitate registration  with university of Peshawar.
4. Produce original transcript and certificate of HSSC and SSC examination or equivalent unless the result is awaited in which event the transcript shall have to be provided at a latter stage for the confirmation of admission.
5. qualify the aptitude test conducted by Brains School of SQM and SIT and the interview that follows.
6. Submit the prescribed form duely completed before the closing date, notified along with testimonials and  original character certificates from the institutes last attended.
7. submit his/her intent to enroll in writing not more then 2 weeks before the commencement of regular classes.
8. have paid the required enrollment fee.

Note

For admission to MBA program first 2 points mentioned above , will read “ have passed BA/BSc / BCOM/BBA/BSc( Home economics) with the minimum 45% marks from an college / University in Pakistan ….”
. In case of admission in BCS student should have passed the FSc(Pre-engineering) or FCS or in General Science with at least 45% marks from any recognized institution in Pakistan.

In case of admission in MSc Computer Science students should have passed the BSc Computer Science with at least 45% marks from any recognized institution in Pakistan.

Disciplinary Rules

Each student has the responsibility to be fully acquainted with and to comply with the BRAINS's University Campus Disciplinary Rules, policies, procedures and regulations established by the Disciplinary Committee. The students of university campus are required to follow the following:

1. Students must display their Student Identity Cards regularly within the premises of the college.
2. Students must submit all the tasks/assignments by the deadline.
3. Students are obligated to respect the rights of others and to refrain from any actions endangering the health, safety, welfare orproperty of others.
4. Students who have any complaint or any action may report to the subject teacher / Program Coordinator.
5. It is compulsory for every student to submit prior application for remaining absent. An absence without written permission is not allowed and will be fined Rs. 50.
6. Students must maintain atleast 75% attendance to appear in mid-term or in sessional exams, as well as 75% attendance to appear in final-term exam (in every subject), decreasing which will be dealt with penalty.
7. A student remaining absent during mid-term exams  or sessionl exam will be fined Rs: 500 per paper. Smoking, alcohol, drugs and possession of firearms are prohibited in the premises of the campus, if found would be dealt with strict Disciplinary action.
8. If any damage found to the college property caused by the students in a particular classroom, the fine of the damage would be implemented upon all the students of respective programs (taking class in that particular classroom).
9. All the students should come to the college well dressed in the way that girls should wear a proper SHALWAR QAMEEZ with a proper
10. DUPATTA or CHADDAR and boys should wear a sober paint shirts or SHALWAR QAMEEZ  with proper shoes.

Additions and changes in rules may occur over the course of academic year. Significant revisions will be communicated through the notice board.

NOTE:
Students are warned that penalties (including fines, sanctions, withholding results, exclusion or expulsion) may be imposed if these or any other BRAINS's University Campus Students' Rules or policy is contravened, or if obligations are not met (including failing to pay prescribed fees, late fees or fines, or for failing to return library / faculty materials or equipment).

 

Attendance Rules
Attendance Rules for SQM ,SIT and MSc Computer Science.

The students will be graded for maintaining their attendance according to the following policy:

Requirements for appearing in find terms examination in terms system is 60% attendance.

1.  Applications must be submitted before availing the leave holiday.
2.  Leaves of two credit hours will be considered as 1 absent in that particular subject.
3.  Students Must maintain 75% Attendance.

Note:

Students of MSc Computer Science should only follow the above mentioned 3 rules. They don't have any concern with the policy.

Examination Rules
Examination Rules for SQM ,SIT and MSc Computer Science

1. Examination Rules for SQM ,SIT and MSc Computer Science Students will have to complete for 25% marks(Internal) arranged by the college and 75 % marks(External) arranged by Peshawar university.
2. Internal Marking System are:

• Written exam 10%
•  Assignment 5%
• Attendance 5%
•  Presentation 5%

1. Mid term or sessional exam will be conducted during the overall academic period.
2. A student remaining absent during mid-term exams or sessionl/monthly Test exam will be fined Rs: 500 per paper.
3. The make-up of mid-term examination and sessional / monthly Test would be conducted, only after the approval of the Program Coordinator.
4. The student will have to pay fine of Rs. 1500/- per paper to reappear for make-up of mid term exam (if approved by the Program Coordinator).

Note:

Students of MSc Computer Science should only follow the above mentioned 2-5 rules.
Once the result is displayed on the notice board, objections are not entertained. (Except for calculation or compilation errors).
The decision of the Academic committee (Director, Academic &/or Program coordinator) regarding internal evaluation of the students is supposed to be final and cannot be challenged.

Rules for the Fee Structure Payment Rules of the Fee for SQM and SIT
Students of SQM and SIT will have to follow fee schedule, the college follows 3 installment systems which are mentioned below.

1. The first installment should be paid at the time of admission.
2. The second installment should be paid before the mid term exam otherwise student will not be allowed to attempt the exam.
3. The third installment must be paid before the submission of form for the final exam, otherwise a fine will be imposed on the students.
4. Before taking the roll numbers of the final exam the 1/3  of the next semester fee should be paid.

Payment Rules of the Fee for MSc Computer Science

Students of Msc Computer Science will have to follow  fee schedule, the college follows 3 installment systems which are mentioned below.

1. The first installment should be paid at the time of admission.
2. The second installment should be paid at the time of submission of examination from to the university.
3. The third installment must be paid before the final exam, otherwise roll numbers for the final exam conducted by the Peshawar University, will not be issued to the student.

Library Rules:

1. The library is supposed to issue maximum 3 books to the students with in a semester/ term. The students will have to arrange rest of the books for themselves on their own.
2. The librarian will renew the date of issuance of issued books after every 2 months i.e. thrice a semester.
3. The  librarian  will  maintain  the sufficient  record  of  reference  books,  which  can  be  issued  to  the students  for  reading purpose only within the library.
4. Any damage to the books caused by the students to the library books will be compensated in the return of the same book in exchange or by paying three time the original price of the book.
