CAT (Certified Accounting Technician)
CAT scheme is designed to equip you all the necessary technical skills and knowledge required to fulfill a support role in accountancy.

Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification
Eligibility: 16 years of age OR Matriculation
ACCA's CAT qualification will be eligible for direct entry to Skills level of ACCA's professional examination.
After completion of CAT Papers 1 to 5 ACCA qualification can be started from Knowledge module.
2 GCE (Advanced level) passes and 3 GCE (Ordinary level) passes (Advanced level passes at grades A-E, Ordinary level passes at grades A-C, including English and Mathematics. Intermediate Examinations / Higher School Certificate at 50% or
above can be accepted as a substitute for Ordinary levels)
ACCA Eligibility: 21 Years of age OR Graduation
Mature Student Entry Route (MSER)
You must be aged over 21 years and pass equivalent of Papers F2 & F3 within two years from the date of first eligible ACCA examination session.
After passing, the student will then be transferred to the ACCA Qualification route.
The Rules for ACCA
There are 14 exam papers to complete along with a compulsory on-line “Professional Ethics” module.
There are two levels, each of which contains two modules- i.e. 4 months in total
Students can sit for maximum four papers in one exam attempt.
The pass marks for each paper are 50%
Exemption Scheme
Exemptions up to first 4 papers are available for degree holder of MBA, M.Com, and CA, CA intermediate on case to case
basis by ACCA.

Course Duration
- ACCA is a 3 to 4 years course for an average level student and working people with part time study.
- A graduate with experience can complete this course in 1 to 2 years.
- As per rules of progression the entire ACCA exemption can be completed in ten years, even if no exemption is claimed
