Aim
To provide a strong foundation to students persuing a career in accounting and finance. The diploma provides a gateway to professional qualifications as well as university degrees. Ideal for students planning to go abroad for higher studies.
Session Commencement
Admissions in HND/HDA remain open throughout the year and new batches commence every two months.
Duration
The HND diploma can be acquired in 15 months. To acquire additional HDA diploma additional 5 months are required.
What is HND in Accounting
Higher National Diploma in Accounting is validated and awarded by Edexcel – UK’s largest diploma awarding body. Higher National Diploma is one of the best known qualification that Edexcel offers. HND is an under-graduate program roughly equivalent to two thirds of university degree in the UK. HND is accredited by ACCA (gives 6 papers exemptions in ACCA). HND gives final year entry into inreasing number of UK universities. HND is highly recognized, respected and accepted by the employers worldwide, particularly international organizations.
What is HDA
HDA is awarded by BIMS. HDA is accredited by Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). HDA provides a gateway to UK Chartered Accountancy awarded by ICAEW (8 papers exemption).
Additionally, HDA provides final year entry to BBA degree awarded by Heriott Watt University (UK) through the university partners in Singapore, UAE, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, etc. HDA provides low cost options to complete final year BBA program.

For (monthly) paper based examination, BIMS allow a maximum of 2 papers per exam-sitting for any month. Monthly exams are held from the 1st day to the 5th day of every month as per following schedule:

REFERRAL PROGRAM (FIA & HND)
Brains is always making new initiatives to facilitate its students in every possible manner. Now for the first time Brains is introducing its “Referral Program” where students will be awarded discount on the basis of the number of students they refer to FIA and HND who successful take admission in these two programs. All students taking admission with us in FIA or HND have a great opportunity to get more and more discount through our “Referral Program”.
This “Referral Program” is effective from April 27, 2011 and will be continued for the period of two months initially.
The details of the Referral Program are as follows:

Terms and Conditions:
- To claim the discount, the referred student needs to be clearly identified that he/she has been referred by an existing student.
- For clear identification, one of the following need to be done:
- Our student who is referring someone should come personally with him for submitting of form and fee. OR
- The “referred” student while submitting his form should clearly state the full name of our existing student who referred him. OR
- Our student who is referring someone should call us before the “referred” student submits the form and fee and clearly state that such and such student is being “referred” by him.
- After clear identification of the “referring” student, discount will be awarded to him once the “referred” student submits his form and fee successfully.
